Christmas Break - Step King at work, Princess and Queen hang out day

This morning has been interesting. A local house got bulldozed down...and I'm trying to get brave and go over and pick through the rubble for some wood. The little house we live in has an attic. Since I downsized from a Big house with 2 car garage, out buildings and a basement to a 3 bedroom...that's it, I need storage.
I'm thinking if I get wood, I could build somewhat of a floor in the attic to store stuff (and keep from playing like I have the balance I did in 7th grade!) We will see how the day unfolds as if I'll be able to do it. It's bitterly cold right now!! Wind is whipping and whistling through the doors of our little house. I keep telling myself "Pioneer women would do it!!!"Who am I kidding, I'm not 20 and this life's modern conveniences of electric stoves and heaters are very nice. I'll think about it.....
Here is the house in the beginning of being dozed
and here is after

Now I'm struggling knowing there are materials there that I could use - it's just so COLD!!

My head is bouncing around with what to do today as princess plays the new Xbox. I need to sew. I am starting a new project, thanks to a gal I found through Pinterest. She has no idea how inspired I am to meet someone else that thinks like I do! I'll give you a hint...
I will keep you informed of what I am going to do with them :). So far, they have been washed...in the washer! WHAT??? Yes, men's ties, washed in the washer, they lived. These will not be reworn so, it was okay <smile>.
I'm off to create. Thank you for bearing with me as I start this blog. I was encouraged by 3 great women to do it. I am not savvy with the art of writing, grammar, spelling (thank God for spell check!) but I'll do what I can. Blessings!
